The collection features over 200 paintings and 500 drawings by Vincent van Gogh as well as works by his contemporaries such as Impressionists and Postimpressionists. 

Van Gogh’s work is presented in five sections, each representing a different period of his life and work: The Netherlands, Paris, Arles, Saint-Remy, and Auvers-Sur-Oise. The collection includes famous paintings such as Sunflowers, Almond Blossoms, The Bedroom, and Potato Eaters.

Every Friday of the month, the museum hosts an event called Vincent on Friday, which is a popular cultural event in Amsterdam. 

During this event, visitors can take a tour of the museum and also have free time to explore the collection on their own. The museum also often organizes additional activities related to the event’s theme.
